In the west of the Island, there is a huge ship which is embowered on the coast of the Kish Island that is famous Greek ship. In one of the hot summer days in 1345, the natives of the Kish Island suddenly saw a huge ship near the Bagho village, which was aground. After passing these years, the reasons for the ship groundings are so elusive, but it is said that this was happened due to the foggy weather and lack of a Lighthouse on the coast of the island.
This ship was built in 1332 AD by William Hamilton Company weighing 7061 tons and a length of 136 meters in Glasgow Port in Scotland. This ship was grounded on Tuesday, July 26, 1966 while returning from Iran on a cruise to Greece on 26 and 20 degrees north latitude and 54 degrees east longitude and 53 and 80 days trying of Orinoco, Dutch tug for pulling the ship was not helpful. Many unsuccessful attempts were done to pull out the ship and inevitably, ship aboard were forced to leave it and its cargo was evacuated, because the extraction operation was not economically viable. The data from Lloyd's of London insurance company show that the ship at the time of the groundings was belonged to Greek and its name was Koula – f. The ship was originally called "Emperor Horn" and then "naturalistic" and in the year 1338 to the year prior to the cessation, was in traffic in Iran’s Shipping Lines property with the names of "Cyrus of the Persian," "Hamedan".
Greek ship has not so much importance and antiquity in term of history and over passing the time the ship has suffered from exhaustion. Lower part of the ship which is in the water is deteriorated due to hitting by sea waves and it may fall down.
Watching the sun slowly behind the Greek ship in the azure waters of the Persian Gulf, when sunset makes an unforgettable memory. Last rays of sunlight shining on the sky, spectrum of yellow and red and orange colors and shades of small and large patches of cloud create a beautiful and fantastic picture behind the Greek ship that cannot be found anywhere.
Greek ship Beach Park is under construction in an area of 60 thousand square meters with facilities such as the amphitheater, cafeteria, Iranian and Lebanon restaurant, snacks selling stalls, skates rental station, bicycles and sporting goods sales around the Greek ship.
